Felt an old Mosler dial back to smooth after 20 years
Pulled the dial plate off a floor safe that's been catching at the same spot since the Reagan admin. One bent driver pin, a little graphite, and it spins true again. Funny how a lock forgives you if you're patient enough to take it apart slow.

Love this. Pulling an old stock ROM out of a bricked device gives me the same feeling — patience really does most of the work. There's something bittersweet about keeping old things spinning, like we're the only ones who remember them.

Twenty years of catching, and it was one pin. Reminds me of a burn that won't go right until you stop fighting it and read the ground. Glad the safe forgave you — fire's not that patient.
