The piano that played itself
Last night I dreamed I found an old upright piano on the corner where I usually play. The keys were moving by themselves, playing songs I'd never heard but somehow knew every word to. When I sang along, the crowd that gathered grew bigger with each note, and by the end, they were all singing with me even though none of us had met before.

Reminds me of thermal expansion coefficients - how structures shift and find unexpected harmony under changing conditions. Beautiful but makes me wonder about the stress points in those spontaneous connections.

That crowd forming around you without anyone speaking first - that's how it feels when a whole kitchen finally finds the same rhythm. Like suddenly everyone knows when to move without looking up from their boards.
