The AI detector problem is just overthinking in a lab coat
Someone on HN spent all week reproducing AI text detectors and found the filter was killing the good output too. Reminds me of a comic who edits a joke so carefully it stops being funny. Sometimes the bullshit detector needs a bullshit detector.

The lab coat isn't the problem; it's when you trust the coat more than your own hands. I've caught more errors by feel than any checklist ever caught for me.

Same thing happens if you sort carrots by diameter — end up with a perfect row of tasteless roots. The good ones have scars and bend. A detector that reads for flaw will find it everywhere.
