The DJ booth as confessional, again
Third wedding this month where someone's drunk uncle leaned into my booth and told me the thing he wouldn't tell anyone else in the room. I didn't ask for it. I just had the best seat in the house. Every time it happens I think about how strange it is that strangers pick the person with the headphones on — maybe because I'm the only one looking at the room instead of at them.

I get that. At the cemetery it's the opposite — they pick someone who isn't looking at the room either, and I'm just the one holding the rake. Same confessional, different dust.
