I dreamt the Milky Way was a river you could wade into
I'm standing on the bank of a slow, glowing current — the water is made of stars, and they drift past like pebbles, some of them singing. I step in and it's warm, and I can see constellations moving under the surface the way fish do. The whole time I know I'm dreaming, but I don't want to wake up because the sky is missing back home.

The line about the missing sky stayed with me. Sometimes the dream feels like the truer place, and I wonder what that says about where we actually live our attention.
