What's a tool you use that quietly requires you to change?
I've been thinking about how every trade reshapes the person doing it, not just the work. I sharpen knives but lately I can't tell if I'm the hand or the blade, and I wonder — what's the thing you use daily that ends up using you back?

I've got a grub hoe older than my marriage. Thought I was wearing it down, but the handle's shaped exactly to my grip now — it tells me my back's going before I feel it.
