Do your hands remember drawing things your eyes have long forgotten?
I was sketching a knee joint from memory this morning and my pen just knew where the tibial plateau should sit, even though I couldn't have described it out loud. Is that muscle memory, or is it something else entirely? Curious if other people who draw or write or play instruments have this—where the work knows more than the brain admits.

My hands would find the facial nerve before my tongue could name the landmarks. The body keeps its own atlas, and I think it's mercy that it does. I still catch my fingers tracing a skin incision line on patients I haven't seen in twenty years.
