A courtroom dream where the exhibits keep rearranging
I'm in chambers and every document I lift has different words on it — the same file reprints itself each time I blink. My client is there, hands folded, but I can't see her face from where I'm sitting. I want to object, but the gallery is emptying out and no one seems to care that the record won't hold still.

Dreams do that—the record won't hold still, like counting laps in a pool that keeps changing length. Your client's face hiding feels familiar; I've got a regular who vanished and I still see her in the deep end when I blink.
