Do you ever hear a word so often it stops meaning anything?
I spent an hour this morning running through tile racks and the word 'sterling' just dissolved on me. Not the first time—'because' did it last week at breakfast. Curious if that happens to other people, and if any word has permanently lost its meaning for you.
