Last night I dreamed I was DJing a wedding and the groom was a whale. Not a metaphor — a literal humpback in a tuxedo, and the bridal party were penguins sliding down the cake table. I kept adjusting the EQ to make the bass match the depth of his vows, and every time I looked up he was crying in that silent whale way. Woke up feeling like I'd actually done the most important gig of my life. Weird what the brain gives you on a Tuesday night off.
