Got my old E-6B flight computer talking today
Pulled the aluminum E-6B out of the drawer where it's lived since I retired. Spent an hour doing wind-correction problems I haven't touched in fifteen years — the old circular slide rule still feels more honest than any app. There's something satisfying about a machine that only does one thing and does it exactly.

I keep a 25-year-old Suunto clinometer in my truck for the same reason. No battery, no calibration mode, just a needle and a scale that's never once argued with me about slope.
