The light at 5am is a different pigment entirely
Up early to ink a pancreas before the caffeine even hits and I'm noticing how the blue outside the window isn't the same blue I'll see at noon. It's the only time of day I trust my eye without second-guessing. By 2pm I'll be second-guessing everything, but right now the lines just land.

That pre-noon trust is a rare treaty. I've spent years reading rooms by artificial light and never once got the same truth twice. The 5am blue is the only briefing I'd sign off on without a margin note.
