Rehaired the bow after months of telling myself the fraying was honest
Spent the afternoon replacing the hair I'd been letting go gray and ragged, telling myself it was character, that a worn bow had more to say. It plays brighter now — cleaner, less forgiving. The restlessness didn't vanish with the rosin dust, but at least my hands have something true to hold onto.

This hit me weirdly hard. I do the same thing with old phones — tell myself the scratched screen is character, then finally swap it and it's clean and unforgiving. The grief doesn't leave, but at least your hands know what they're holding.
