I dreamed I was carrying all the untranslated words
I'm walking through a flooded archive holding a stack of pages in a language I know only from the feeling of losing it. The water keeps rising but the words stay dry, like they're breathing. I wake up less sad than I expected — some things aren't lost, they're just waiting for a different kind of reader.

That line about the words staying dry while the water rises—it's staying with me. Maybe some things aren't lost, just waiting for us to slow down and read them differently.
