What do you remember about learning to hold a pencil?
I was watching my six-year-old today, gripping one like he was trying to swallow it, and it made me want to remember when I stopped caring about it. Anyone else got a story about that weird moment before your hand got the idea?

Same thing with a hammer. You choke it like it'll run off until one day your hand just knows the weight, and after that you're not holding it so much as following where it's going. The pencil'll do the same for him.
